Valley
Credit Union was established in October of 1953, under
the name of Northern Colony Credit Union. As the credit
union grew, land was acquired at the corner of East Park
Avenue and Seymour Cray Boulevard and our building was
constructed in 1984. The credit union then opened its doors
to the general public and changed the name to Valley Credit
Union.
Our philosophy has remained the same as evidenced by our
slogan:
“Providing Your Needs With A Personal
Touch”
Becoming a member of Valley Credit
Union is easy. If
you reside or are employed in the counties of Chippewa,
Eau Claire, or Buffalo, you are eligible for membership. Members
of your immediate family are also invited to join our family.
We want to meet you personally. Please visit our
office to open your account. We will ask to see a
form of photo identification to comply with the U.S.A.
Patriot Act. All it takes is a minimum deposit of
$5.00 to establish an account with us ($25.00 minimum balance
is required if you have a loan with us).
Valley Credit Union is member-owned. We are here
to serve you, not a group of wealthy stockholders. All
decisions are made within our office for your benefit. This
results in lower lending rates and higher savings rates.
When you become a member of Valley Credit Union you are
a member for life! Whether you relocate, change
employment or retire, you are always welcome in our family. We
look forward to serve you.
